Preventative maintenance

Preventative maintenance includes items such as dust removal, CD and floppy disk drive cleaning, and checking cable and expansion card connections.

 

System optimization

During optimization, we scan your hard drive(s) for errors and, if any are found, attempt to repair them.  If necessary, we'll also defragment your hard drives.  (Fragmentation occurs naturally when you use a disk frequently, creating, deleting, and modifying files. This is entirely invisible to you, but it can slow down the speed at which data is accessed.)

 

System upgrades

During the preventative maintenance and system optimization, we'll suggest upgrades such as adding RAM (memory) or increasing your hard drive (storage) size that help to maintain the performance of your system.
